Mind Mapping – assessing your strengths and weaknesses

Mind Mapping to Assess Your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats

When it comes to your business, you need to be as innovative, productive, and forward moving as possible. There are many tools that you can utilize in order to be as creative as possible. Mind mapping is one of those tools.

First, let’s examine what mind mapping is. Mind mapping is a way of brainstorming on paper. It is extremely beneficial as it is a visual tool that stimulates creative thinking preparing you to organize, evaluate, and analyze data you create for your business ideas. It is sort of like brainstorming with yourself on paper.

To begin with, you place a keyword in the center of the paper that becomes the main character in the mind mapping system. Next, you branch out ideas from that internal word and continue to branch out new words in a circle around that original word or theme.

It is similar to choosing a theme and several subthemes or topics and subtopics. The more you extend the circles and branch them out, the more creative you will find yourself being. Mind mapping is similar to choosing a niche and then a sub-niche and then another sub-niche within a sub-niche.

What Are the Benefits of Mind Mapping?

Mind mapping offers several benefits. For one thing, mind mapping is a visual tool. It helps you to organize information, create new concepts and themes while stretching your imagination. It offers the possibility of analyzing and visualizing ideas on paper in a new and creative fashion.

Mind mapping is an excellent tool to evaluate the strengths of your company or business. By placing several key themes on paper, you can visually pinpoint where your company’s strengths are. From there, you can gain momentum by brainstorming creative and innovative ideas to enhance and maximize those strengths.

Mind mapping is also useful in examining weaknesses. Weak areas are highlighted when using mind mapping. This is useful because sometimes a discussion about weaknesses does not produce any tangible results for improvement. However, using mind mapping creates a visual board for where weaknesses lie.

If you want to explore opportunities that you can take advantage of, mind mapping is an excellent tool for this. If you have one or two tried and true ideas for success, you can create sub-categories and sub-topics for those opportunities. This, in turn, will create even bigger and more advantageous opportunities.

If your company or business has the potential for external threats, using a mind map will clearly hone in on those threats and spotlight them. Then you can now see where you need to put your attention to ward off potential outside threats in the future.

As you can see, mind mapping is a very useful tool for assessing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Showing Merit and Creativity to get that elusive job

Motivation, drive, and the ability to learn and create something is what are needed to stand out in the business world. Show merit, creativity, and ambition.

Recognizing that you could be part of something bigger will take you further than your wildest expectations.

Really, folks! Greed is unbecoming. Make your boss feel like he has won something. YOU!

It doesn’t really matter what’s on your biography or CV/resume. The business world is looking for people that want to learn and are independent, excited, and can think outside of the box.

People who are willing to work will have their presence felt immediately.

The concept of unqualified should become a dead concept and forgotten. If you think you can do the job better than anyone else, that’s the only “qualification” you need to apply for any assignment or contract.

Keep that smile in your mind’s eye, pep in your step, and head held high. Your aura will gleam through.

Today’s world is built for go-getters, so go get it!

Get creative and apply for a contract at some mega-company, or start-up, that’s planning on changing the world.

Motivation, merit and creativity, along with ambition are all you need. Forget where you graduated from (or didn’t) and show the world what you’ve got.

  • Blog Your Passion | Boost It with Effectiveness

Blog Your Passion | Boost It with Effectiveness

Blogging is easy and leads to success.

Anyone can be a successful blogger. You can write a blog about anything you want.

Start by reaching more people as quickly as possible within a target audience. This can be done with an effective social media ad campaign using some of Sprout Social’s free tips.

Another method would be by opening a free account at WordPress.com or Google’s Blogger.com. There are many other free blogging sites available like Wix or Medium. They are simple to use and allow you to express your thoughts and promote your products.

A successful blogger will write in the first person. Let’s use our example, the relationship e-book. Your blog could be about dating after a divorce, or something in that order.

You’d be writing about your experiences getting over a relationship and how hurt you were. To keep the interest going, add daily or weekly tidbits to your blog about your pain and suffering. If and when you find happiness during this journey, you’d add that too.

Use keywords to get the blog to become more prominent in the search engines.

Learn where to place keywords. It’s better to get people to find you from the search engines. When a site name is typed directly in the address bar, the user goes straight to the website. However, if a query is entered then it will perform a search using the search engine.

Your blog must get the attention of the search engines. That's how you make money on the Internet, or dominate the web.

Also, relying on marketing your product to other bloggers on their sites will not produce the desired results. For starters, they are too busy trying to make a buck also. Your blog needs to get noticed by the search engines.

To do this, your keywords must stand out and need to be used throughout your blog. They should be related to the product message.

Divorce, dating, blogging, bad relationships, - use those words in the example blog as much as possible. But make sure that the blog makes sense. You should use the keywords about two to three times per 125 words.

    keywords

To start out blogging, try making your blog only 125 words. Anything longer than that will be passed over if your writing is not clear or interesting. Most people don’t have a long attention span when it comes to reading articles or blogs on the Internet.

You’ll have to hook them with what you have to say in the first 125 words to keep their attention. Once you’ve got them, then they may leave a comment. Or perhaps, follow through with your call to action, if you have one.

Links to audience targeting software to your Facebook ads should be somewhere in the blog. Unlike article websites, you can post links on your blogs. Posting a link to your landing page or website will direct them to your sales pitch.

Come up with an angle to get people to keep coming back everyday. It will generate an interest in you and in your product, your EBook. Giving free “dating tips after divorce”, or other free good advice will establish you as an expert in the field.

You can then use the blogs to further that persona. If people like the free advice, direct them to your website where they’ll come upon the landing page.

Blogging is easy and you do not have to be a great writer.

But your content must be interesting if you want to promote your product in this manner. You can write your blogs on your word processing program. Then cut and paste them to different blog sites on a daily basis.

What you are trying to accomplish is to get as much interest in your product as possible. This will generate a lot of traffic to your landing page.

Don’t forget that you can incorporate video into your blogs.

Why waste your time on the Internet forwarding jokes or urban legends that have been circulating since forever? You could be using this time to promote your e-book.

The e-book is the easiest thing that you can sell on the internet.

Once you have a good marketing plan you’ll be on your way to blogging to success with your online business.

    Go for it!
